If you want to really take it to another level by dressing the part of an English aristocrat in My Fair Lady clothes! What? You can't play croquet? It's even easier than cricket! What? You can't play cricket? Okay, how about tee-ball with a ground-level tee! But really, come and enjoy the fun even if you don't want to dress up!	0.00
Day Trip to Victoria BC on the MV Coho ferry (Butchart Option) This is for the ferry only. Select a quantity to the right and then choose from the options that appear below to complete your outing. Some options may require prepayment which will be added to your Esprit acount. The ferry portion of the excursion is approximately $43.50 round trip, paid when you board the ferry at Port Angeles. A passport or enhanced driver's license is mandatory to cross the border. More... Tuesday 7:30 am. Meet in Esprit Lobby. Passport or Enhanced Drivers License is required for entry to Canada and return to USA. Victoria BC Trip and High Tea at Butchart Gardens Costs are NOT included in your Esprit registration. Ferry (round trip on MV Coho) is US$43.50/person Taxi to Butchart Gardens (EACH way) CAD$55; can split between 4 passengers Butchart Gardens Admission: CAD$36.50/person High Tea: CAD$49.40/person This year we will again travel to beautiful British Columbia for High Tea and a full day of sightseeing. You will want to wear your finest frock (the Gardens has a dress code) and of course a beautiful hat. An extra bag is suggested to carry walking shoes as a tour of the various gardens involves plenty of walking. When we disembark from the Coho ferry, we board a cab to convey us 14 miles north to the Gardens. There will be plenty of time to take in the Gardens either before or after High Tea. Of course, you can join the group just for the ferry, enjoy Victoria and meet back up for the return trip. The Gardens The Butchart Gardens is one of the world's premier floral show gardens. Jennie Butchart began to shape this magnificent landscape in 1904. She established, in the style of the grand estates of the period, several distinct gardens to evoke a range of aesthetic experiences. An abandoned limestone quarry was transformed into the dramatic Sunken Garden, a reflection of the early 20th-century beautification movement and an exceptional achievement in Canadian gardening history. Through successive generations of the Butchart family, The Gardens has retained much of its original design, and continues the Victorian tradition of seasonally changing the outstanding floral displays covering more than twenty acres!!.	0.00

Butchart Gardens Taxi and Admission Shared taxi fare and admission to the Butchart Gardens. Taxi fare is about CAD$110 round trip (divided by 4-5 passengers). Esprit is holding a friendly Pickleball tournament. (We normally play against a team of Port Angeles pickleball players, but unfortunately this year we're not able to do so safely.) If you've never played, sign up for our Pickleball Beginners Class and you'll be paired with a more experienced player if you wish. Cheerleaders are welcome too - bring your own pompoms! We play at the Elks Playing Field at 14th W and Cedar St., weather permitting. Beginner classes begin at 10, tournament begins at noon. Watch this space for backup plans! Stephanie Avion Chix w/ Stix Pool Tournament - SIGNUP Please select this ONLY if you're signing up to play. Spectators are welcome and encouraged but don't need to sign up. More... Registration: 6pm Play starts: 7pm Pool tables have always gone hand in hand with adventure, vice, and women of mystery. Usually it's the men who own the room, but at Esprit things are a bit different. Imagine a roomful of short-skirted hoochies competing fiercely for the prized title of Esprit Pool Tournament Champion. A 20's gangster moll here, a film noir femme fatale there, and a biker chick over by the bar...drop them all into a small pool hall, and you have the Annual Esprit Pool Tournament. The Naval Elks Lodge hosts the tournament in their private pool room. There will be no-host bar and food service and assistants to help run the tournament. This is a friendly tournament and everyone has plenty of opportunities to play regardless of skill level. We will follow the Official Rules of the BCA Pool League (with a few changes to better accommodate recreational play) and contact the pool tournament coordinator, if you have other questions. Back at the Red Lion, many attendees also enjoy hanging out in the hotel bar which truly becomes one of the hottest and most interesting places in town during the week of Esprit. The tournament was renamed in 2020/2021 in honour of Stephanie Avion, who served for many years on the Esprit Committee.	0.00

Ascot Setup Help set up for Tuesday evening's Ascot races. Stuff player envelopes, set up counting table etc.
Ascot Runner Collect bets and distribute winnings during Tuesday evening's Ascot Races.
Audio Assistant Help the Audio Technician set up audio PA gear for dances, Fashion Show, keynote speech etc. Place equipment, help run cables, help with sound checks etc. NOTE - this may involve shared lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Talent Show Setup Assistant Help the Talent Show Coordinator set up and test equipment for Friday night's Talent Show. Load in and load out equipment via elevator, place speakers, run cables, help with testing equipment, sound checks etc. NOTE - this may involve shared lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Talent Show Backstage manager Assist with the management of the acts and performers on and off the stage during the show, helping with set changes etc. NOTE - this may involve shared lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Equipment Move for Saturday Gala Help move sound equipment (speakers, cables, mixer etc.) from The Elks Ballroom to the Olympic Room in the Red Lion. This involves dismantling equipment, loading it into vehicles at the Elks, unloading it at the Red Lion, moving it upstairs and helping with setup. The time is limited for this task. NOTE - this will involve shared lifting of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Badge Photograph

You can provide a photograph of yourself to be used on your photo ID badge at Esprit. If you were at the latest in-person Esprit and had your portrait taken for the Yearbook you can also ask for that photo to be used. If you prefer, we can also take your photo when you check in.

We strongly encourage you to send in a photo ahead of time so that your badge will be ready when you arrive.

By submitting this registration application I acknowledge that I have read the following terms and agree to them and will comply with them.

Esprit is an event for transgender people to meet, learn and socialize in an atmosphere of mutual respect and consent within the convention, the hotel, its staff and guests, and the community at large. Respectable and respectful attire and behaviour is expected regardless of your choice of gender presentation.

Esprit is a private event and occurs on private property, in a public setting, and both the hotel's and Esprit's rules of conduct apply. Lewd, lascivious, offensive, intrusive or fetish behavior by attendees or visitors, determined solely at Esprit's discretion, will not be tolerated and Esprit reserves the right to refuse admission or cancel the remaining portion of an attendee's participation if this code is violated.

Refunds will be made only upon emailed or written request.

Requests emailed or postmarked on or before 2nd April, 2023 are eligible for a full refund*. Requests emailed or postmarked between 3rd April, 2023 and 12th May, 2023 inclusive are eligible for a 50% refund*. If you cancel after 12th May, 2023, Esprit will credit the lesser of the current price of the full meal package or actual payment against the cost of attendance at Esprit 2024.

Extenuating circumstances will be considered at Esprit's sole discretion.

*Please note: If payment was made via PayPal, the refund will be reduced by any amount not returned to Esprit by PayPal.

I agree to abide by the Esprit Rules of Conduct and attest to the fact that I will be at least 21 years of age upon arrival at Esprit, unless attending as a child of an attendee. If a couple, I attest that we are a couple in a legally recognized relationship or who have been living together (maintaining the same physical residence) continuously for the past 12 months.
